Wherever you have decided to stay, within 90 mins drive, you can cross the entire island. With approximately 2000 km of the drivable road network in Mauritius, you don’t need a particular vehicle to explore the island. All the road are nicely maintained, and driving is pure pleasure.
For a couple or a family of with three kids or a more prominent family with seven persons, the following categories are available.
Economy Car - The economy car will be a good option for a couple.
Compact Car - A suitable car to drive for four adults or a family with three children.
Family Sedan - A comfortable car to explore the island. Consider the no of luggage you have if you are taking delivery and returning the vehicle at the airport.
Station Wagon - A perfect car to rent if you have much luggage. This car provides you with a larger boot capacity and is comfortable for five adults.
7 Seater - For a large family, this car will help you stay together and have more fun. Booking a seven-seater car will cost cheaper than renting two vehicles simultaneously.
SUV - Driving an SUV naturally gives many advantages like more comfort, more safety, more cargo space, and benefit of its off-road options.
Minibuses – 12 seater - On request, you can also book a 12 seater minibus for your holiday. Your driving license should allow you to drive such vehicles.

Rental Policy
General Information:
• Our vehicles are recent, well maintained and with contract (tourist) rental permits.
• Above prices include unlimited mileage and all taxes.
• There is a supplement charge of MUR 200/ EUR 4 per day for drivers (maximum 2) and passengers insurance.
• We accept cash (MUR, EUR, USD, GBP) and credit card (MasterCard, Visa, AMEX) payments.
• The total rental cost should be paid at the beginning of the rental. In case of a rental extension, the extra cost will be settled upon car drop off.
• Drivers must be in possession of a valid international or national driving license for a period of at least 12 months.
• Fuel is the customer’s responsibility – the car must be returned with the same fuel tank level it was delivered with.
• We offer delivery and collection services throughout the island with a supplement charge ranging from MUR 300 – MUR 1 000/ EUR 8 – EUR 25, depending on the location (delivery/collection services are usually only applicable with a minimum rental of 3 days, but we can be flexible).
• Baby seat is available with an extra charge of MUR 150 – MUR 200 / EUR 4 – EUR 5 per day.
• GPS is also available with an extra charge of MUR 150 – MUR 200 / EUR 4 – EUR 5 per day.
• The conversion from MRU to EUR is based on the exchange rate EUR 1 = MUR 40. The prices in MUR are exact. Prices in EUR may fluctuate slightly according to the exchange rate.
•Rest assured while driving as all of Liberta Car Rental’s vehicles are covered by a 24 hour, 7 days a week road-side assistance in the event of an accident or breakdown during your rental period.
Insurance:
• Excess Waiver insurance: The car is covered with a fully comprehensive insurance with an excess deposit of MUR 20 000/ EUR 500.
•If the damaged is minor, we may allow for the car to be repaired at your expenses without paying for the excess fee.
• Collision Damage Waiver insurance: The excess deposit can be reduced to MUR 12 000/ EUR 300 with an extra payment of MUR 300/ EUR 8 per
day (CDW is only applicable with a minimum rental of 3 days).
• Minimum driver age is 21 years old.
